HOW IT WORKS
When an event occurs on a protected site, a defined analytic (boundary crossing, loitering, etc) generates an alert. That alert is securely transmitted—via supervised, redundant communication paths—to the UL 827B–listed monitoring center, where it is immediately logged, time-stamped, and routed to a trained Edgeworth monitoring agent.
The agent receives the alert including live and recorded video, site details, and client-specific response instructions. The agent visually verifies the activity to determine whether it is a true threat, suspicious behavior, or a non-event. This verification step is critical and significantly reduces false dispatches.
The agent then intervenes using live audio to announce monitoring presence and issue verbal warnings. When escalation is required, the operator follows the approved call tree to notify property contacts and, if warranted, dispatch law enforcement with verified video details to support an informed response.
Throughout the event, all actions—video review, audio intervention, calls, and dispatches—are fully documented. Once the situation is resolved, a complete report is generated, including timestamps, agent notes, and video evidence. All records are retained in compliance with UL 827B standards.
